Tamron SP 70-200mm F/2.8 Di VC USD

Tamron is presenting the most compact*1 full-size, high-speed telephoto zoom lens, delivering leading-edge image quality with Tamron’s proprietary VC ( Vibration Compensation) and USD ( Ultrasonic Silent Drive).

Tamron Europe: Announcement: SP 70-200mm F/2.8 Di VC USD.

But not compatible with Pentax, just Canon, Nikon and Sony.

What will Ricoh Pentax do to convince Tamron to produce K-mount compatible lenses again?

According to recent speculation, it's possible that more rebadged Tamron lenses will be made by Pentax, i.e. for a future full-frame.

Pentax will need a Full Frame in order to sell more camera's for Tamron to notice it again. Consequently they will sell less lenses....

It's been an ongoing discussion in other threads that the 18-270 from Pentax may signal Ricoh's intent to renew and rebuild Pentax's relationship with the 3rd party lens makers. I sincerely hope so. At this time all I can say is that I am very glad that Samyang is still coming out with K-mount versions of its lenses.
