Yep. I mean to say that literally nobody knows. The reps are hoping but don't have real info, Pentax engineers are looking into it but don't know if it will pan out. The Pentax managers are waiting for the engineers and market reports, so they don't know yet either.

Only one thing is certain;

The only thing for certain is that the pentax blogs will be full of FF talk no mater what else happens

Well, yes and no. Full frame is overrated in the minds of those who lustfully long after it but don't have it. However, to those of us who have it and use it, it's not overrated in our minds at all since we know first hand what FF does and does not do for us.

FF is not a magic pill that will suddenly turn one's pictures "pro." However, don't let that discourage you—if FF is the tool that you need, then go for it.

Obviously, I have FF and I'm pretty much hooked on it.

EDIT: I think I maybe made things more confusing with this post...

It is plain wrong, wrong, and wrong. This is equivalent to airplanes not having wings, cars not having tires, old men not taking Viagras.
Shame on the OP and other participants in this thread for having the temerity to have different photographic tastes than the great Fontan! How dare you not hijack another thread but start your own with the ostensible purpose of discussing FF? Don't you know this would force Fontan to click on the link and write a snarky comment just to disparage your tastes? Don't you see what you've done? You've made him click on a post about FF (with FF in the title) and forced him to comment!

As irritating as turning every thread into an FF thread might be, it pales in comparison to people who come into FF threads and moan about the people who might desire one.

I just want to know Pentax FF plan so I can make a decision of whether to purchase the K5IIs and wait for it.

I don't think you will ever know that until its announcement, so that's something for you to decide. The K-5 IIs is going to be a very capable tool, regardless of FF prospects.

Actually, those of you who want a FF Pentax should each purchase a K, F or FA lens from me. As surely as I finally give up and sell my last legacy lens Pentax will announce a FF wonder camera with uncrippled K mount.

Heh. As indicated, I still have all the lenses.

If I were to sell MF it would be to acquire FA Limiteds due to failing eyesight, which testifies to good cheer.
