Help Adam get the FA Ltd. lenses on Black Friday discount!

Adam, our most gracious host, has arranged for these CRAZY Black Friday deals at Adorama & B&H largely on his own weighty reputation

He has been trying to get them to lower the price of the FA Limited lenses for this weekend as well, without success. Shall we demonstrate our enthusiasm for such a scheme? Sure we will!

So, here's your chance to petition! *If* you had been thinking of purchasing or actively looking for a good deal on an FA Limited lens, would a significant price drop this weekend make you hand over your hard earned dollars and grab one? Lets make this thing happen!

I, for one, would be ALL OVER the FA77 this weekend

.

Too bad, I already have the 31 and the 77 black MIJ and I am no interested in the 43.
BUT if you love exquisite craftmanship and unique image rendering, you MUST get those lenses.

Already have the 43 and 77, but I would love to add the venerable 31 to my bag.

One does wonder why the FA ltds are not on the discounted list. Each are worth the investment and saving up the pennies for.

Well, the FA limiteds weren't marked up a lot with the whole minimum advertising pricing debacle. I imagine that dealer price on these is pretty steep and that there isn't a lot of room to mark them down...

At least you got about 45 people who are ready to pull the trigger on a FA Ltd. That is a lot of money, if B&H, Adorama or others are listening!

Amusingly there's a thread about a price drop for the FA 35 F2. Perhaps it portends what prices to come?

There's always room to mark stuff down, but stores like hanging on to extra profit, you know

Most pro photo stuff is marked up at least 100%; consumer stuff considerably less but still a decent amount I believe! Also, remember that not only the manufacturer, but also the distributor, retailer, and (possibly) affiliated ad network need to get their cut of profit

I have almost all of the DA Limiteds but never even attempted to collect the FA Limiteds because they were always out of reach for me. If Adam landed some substantial deals on these lenses for us, I would probably go with the most-affordable of the FA Limiteds: the 43. But I would have to try to find a way to swing the 31 if the price dropped below $700. Alas, a $100 discount wouldn't be enough to allow me to own the FA 31. But a $100 discount would have me mounting a FA 43 on my K-5 before the end of the week.
