The last figures I've seen have DSLR #'s going down. At one point when DSLR #'s were going down, FF numbers were still going up. Might've changed by now, who knows.

The way I see it, unless the world economy takes a significant plunge to limit consumer confidence, then FF sales will increase. People appreciate photography, and with time more people are appreciating good photography that cannot be replicated by the best smartphone cams.

I just use the 4 way controller for that. Cost may be an issue rolling out a touchscreen on tempered glass. More important to me would be responsiveness in CDAF focusing speed and the use of the LED AF assist.
