The problem with eyepiece magnifiers like these is that they tend to cripple the eye-point of the viewfinder - and for people who wear glasses high eyepoint is a very important thing, magnifiers also tend to reduce the amount of the frame that is visible as well. The ME Super has 0.95X magnification with 92% coverage, the ME Super is not as tall or as deep as my K5IIs, the length of the camera body is practically identical. For a camera with a shutter mechanism, mirror box and pentaprism 1.5X larger than APS-C the ME super is remarkable when you consider the form factor. The Nikon D3s and Canon 1Ds MKIII both tower over the ME Super*, the Nikon D800E is a brick compared to the ME super as well.
*with the Pentax MX the contrast in scale couldn't be more extreme. The MX has 0.97X magnification with 95% coverage, If Pentax came out with a FX format DSLR with a viewfinder with 0.88X with 100% coverage, I would be quite content with it. For comparison the D800E has 0.7X with 100% coverage - the bare minimum specs I will accept for a FX camera viewfinder.
