Nano-lab -> new sensor improvements?

The news overhere is the investment in a new Nanolab with ASML and the Technical University of Eindhoven, nearby.

NanoLab @ TU/e (Eindhoven University of Technology)

Could this mean that with these investments the sensortechnology will make a new step in the future?

I would say yes. It will make new step to the higher levels of the knowledge.
But the final result is important. And if this effort will bring us really new sensors inside the new cameras.
And of coarse, not only in the cameras.

Ron may just draw a long bow on the "photonic devices" phrase.

Greetings

ASML makes the machines where the round plates are being made where our sensors are being cut out. So this investment will come into our future camera's.
