Photographer sues BuzzFeed for $3.6M over viral sharing model

A photographer says BuzzFeed should pay copyright damages not only for an unauthorized photo that appeared on its site — but for the dozens of other sites on which the photo appeared.

The author of the article clearly has an agenda and is uniformed (or plays uninformed even if he claims to be a copyright attorney) in his article. He just doesn't get ownership or respect the rights of the creator of content. His arguments are so blatantly anti-current law that even the US Supremes might see through his "arguments" (I did say Might).

Oh, and his spurious argument that the photographer owes something to the subject of the photo, who was photographed in public, clearly shows a lack of knowledge and/or appreciation for the law as it relates to photography.

I didn't see any claim on the part of Mr. Roberts to be a copyright attorney.
