Oh facebook albums really helps. They see my photos and likes it. Asks what camera I use, and most often than not they will say that I probably have an expensive camera, technically not the lens is somewhat the investment so I say I use my $299 camera minus the lens that came with it, that if I sell it for maybe about $120 will go down to $179 a very capable sensor at that price range is hard to beat. My influence in my opinion is widening (camera-wise). They say my gear looks kind of cute (K-01) and weird (K-30) that they made them smile the first time they saw it, and always after I've taken pictures of them and show them the result they get amazed. We've got to admit that social media is the way the world is going right now. Flickr, while great, is limited to the ones that really is into photography (shooting and admiring) facebook with all the mundanities of life shared every second of the day, it is hard to resist posts with pictures and captions, specially with PENTAX colors and contrasts
