Turn iPhone Into an Incident Light Meter

There's already apps to turn your iPhone (4, 4s or 5) into a light meter, but this attachment makes the phone into an accurate incident light meter. $24.95 beats a couple hundred dollars.

Interesting....
I actually backed LUMU, which to me looks a lot more simplistic. They've even developed their own application that looks pretty darn good. I've seen many pro-photogs back LUMU. First time I've heard of LUXI.

Lumu - bringing Light Meter to the 21st Century by Lumu Labs — Kickstarter

Will be curious to see which one fares better when they come out.

I like the Lumu better because it isn't specific to any single phone. The Luxi is form fitted to the corner of the phone and would be useless if one upgraded from the 4s to the 5. But seeing how the Luxi will retail for $25 and the estimated retail of the Lumu is $149, I will say the lower priced Luxi will win over the most folks. Eventually the Chinese will make their own version and sell it for $10 and edge out the market.

I'm getting my first smart phone next week (iPhone) and I may try out the Luxi.

^True... I wouldn't be surprised if I saw the Luxi first and backed that one instead.
