Interesting,i really dont want to offend somebody but i will add one more, i know nobady can tell you what to do with your money, you earn it and you can choose to use it in whatever you want, but i live in a third word country and altough our economy is improving there's still A LOT of poor people, young children dying in the mountains(in spanish is "sierra" and im not sure how to translate it), just in my way to the supermarket (wich is only 10 blocks from my house) i see at least 10 persons asking for money in the street (blind people, sick people,retarded people, old people, 6 year old kids getting their hands dirty trying to do tricks in the traffic lights for some coins (of course inhaling the smoke from the cars all day) ) and i just can't ignore all that. I dont mean that you shouldn't buy cool staff but i think there is a limit and from time to time one should hold himself from buying something really expensive he doesnt even need (like changing from iphone 4 to iphone 5) and consider charity, helping somebody who needs it, don't let yourself be caught by consumerism, one knows when he is being selfish.
Reason 12: There are some people who might need that money more than you need a new camera.
