PDN PhotoPlus Expo

Am I seeing correctly, that Pentax / Ricoh is not exhibiting at all at the upcoming PhotoPlus Expo in New York?
New Cameras....... New Lenses....... New Flashes........ but hey, we don't need to show them off to anyone?

The PhotoPlus Expo is for professionals. Why would Pentax have a booth there? They will be at the Consumer Electronics Show.

Cost outweighs the benefit perhaps? The money might be better spent elsewhere (i.e. traditional advertising).

I just looked at the exhibitor list.....makes no sense to me why they would not be there other than they just don't feel it necessary to show off their product. The K-3 looks like a killer dslr...to not have it available at this show is downright dumb. Maybe they don't like NY?

You would think a company like Ricoh would know better than to skip the biggest camera gear show in the US after coming out with their flagship camera only three weeks ago.
