Salvaged Pentax Camera

Love this story.

I had heard this story before, but I just now noticed that at picture was taken after the camera fell in the lake. Probably a mermaid, or maybe a merman (not sure if mermen are real or not). Do mermaids live in freshwater or saltwater?

Awesome story! I heard this too. I'm pretty glad to know my camera was made well! Pentax makes some pretty hearty equipment. I very much dislike holding a canon or nikon and experiencing that "plasticy" feeling. Rock on Pentax!

she reluctantly bid adieu to a collection of more than 1,000 photos and videos taken over five years.
Because the SD card in your camera is such a great place to store your only copies of all your pictures. Oy vey--this is so common--but why? Go figure.

Frequent backups. And always at least two copies.

Wow. That was 200 feet down, too. That's a whole world of difference from the 30 feet that a lot of waterproof cameras offer.

Two threads on this was sufficient. 3 seems a bit redundant.
