Don't forget to change the time on your camera

(If you're participating in US daylight savings time)

Wow, thanks for the reminder...I'd never have thought of that. I know there's a "DST" option, I guess I figured it auto-switched back and forth.

i just did it last nite, and in doing so i realized my k-30 has support for 2 time zones and yes/no to dst. very cool. Maybe i should read the manual completely........ I just checked the DST box, and that was that.

My time zone (Newfoundland Time) is 0.5 h off the nearest other time zone (Atlantic Time). Given that the K-5 can't handle a "Destination" time that something other than multiples of 1.0 hour different than the "Hometown" time, I just leave it on Universal Coordinated Time (UTC) (a.k.a. Zulu time or Greenwich Mean Time) all the time, instead of choosing another destination city in the "World Time" menu. Otherwise I would have to go into the "Date Adjustment" menu to change the time on the camera every time I travel, and switch between standard and daylight savings time twice per year. In wonder if St. John's has been added as a "World Time City" in the K-3. Microsoft managed to figure it out for Windows, so why can't Pentax?

At Times
Actually for the most part, the time on my Exif data doesn't matter to me.
