RIP Pentax Facebook Page (renamed)

As of today the official Pentax USA Facebook page has been moved from /pentax to /RicohImaging:
https://www.facebook.com/RicohImaging

Our Facebook page continues under the current name
https://www.facebook.com/pentaxforums

Not surprising, it was a bit confusing to have it called Pentax when everything on the page was called Ricoh. It might lower the number of hits from people searching for Pentax though.

Is it safe to assume I will no longer receive notifications (oh please! oh please!)?

I always find it odd that things without a face (companies) have a Facebook page. Language-thing I guess.

Some time ago I stopped following that Pentax Facebook page. Only Ricoh was being discussed. It was as if Pentax was already gone.

Facebook was (is?) a place where people can come and talk/like a thing or keep track of friends/likes. It has become something else these days, but I have kept my Facebook (FB) profile true to people I'd actually meet or really know in real-life.

Yep. The reason only Ricoh was being discussed, was because they threw out all the Pentaxians who spoke up.

Ricoh should have created their own FB page instead of co-opting the Pentax one.
Like Pentaxforums, they do not own this site or FB.

There should be a place where "fans" can come and talk about a passion without someone coming around and telling them "Hey, Ricoh bought Pentax, get over it".

You mean a place where only one point of view can be expressed? That doesn't seem very fair; but what the heck, give it a try. You could easily do a Facebook page, a blog, or even a forum of your own that allowed only anti-Ricoh posts.
