I didn't read the article, but scrolling through the visual aids I got the idea that it helps to only take pictures of attractive young women!  | |

Last year my new years resolution was to make money with my photography, not take in money, but actually make money and cover my expenses for printing, fuel, licences, insurance, website..etc. I broke even. I would have lost if you included new lenses and replacing broken softboxes. What was I shooting? Live concerts and general portraiture. In the fall I joined up with some fashion photographers and dipped my toe in the water. It's pretty warm in there... Those fashion shoots are what brought me up to breaking even, and by March I'll have my licence and insurance for the year paid for by headshots of all things... why? attractive young women, I'm convinced of it. To prove it (I should have saved this), I checked my google anayltics. Before I added my fashion section to my website I got on average 50-100 views a month. Since adding my fashion page I get 50-100 a day. My music section got NOTHING for all of December and January. Not one person clicked on the "music" link on my front page. So it's gone. | |
