Fort McMurray (Alberta, Canada) is burning. This is what one photographer did.

Context: 6th may.

The nitty-gritty:

In the past 7-8 years i've shot a hell of a lot of weddings from folks returning to NL from Fort McMurry to get married.

They've put a ton of food on my family's table.

I'm pretty confident in saying that i have most, if not every wedding i've shot still on my hard drives.

If you've lost your wedding photos please send me a message and i'll see if i can replace what you have lost.

It's the very least i could do in such an unfortunate time for so many awesome people!

Please share this with people you know i've shot weddings for in case they don't see it.

Cheers everyone!

A professional in EVERY sense of the word.

The devastation from events like this can be all consuming and conditions can change rapidly as the fire has a life of it's own. The end result is that there are likely to be a number of people who will have lost their photos, and even if this is a small offer in the big scheme of things, the lost photos being replaced this way can help the recovery of those families who have lost everything.

Good on him and I hope there are other photographers who also earnt a living off this community can make similar offers to assist.
