4k timelapse seams so outdatet

Somehow 4k isn't enough today when you look at this video made with the 100MP sensor making 12k video.

I haven't figured out how to make regular video yet, much less 4k. Now 12k? Do you think that will play on my B&W TV?

Buy a big tv. In 2020 some of the Olympics will be shown in 8k. Panasonic is making the camera for that.

My 13" still works, why do I need a new TV? Never watched the Olympics, maybe if it is in 8k I will. or maybe not..........

It'll be a while before 4K becomes fully mainstream. Even Windows is buggy when it comes to 4K monitors, and some browsers struggle to play back UHD videos smoothly.

Most of our terrestrial TV channels here in the UK aren't even HD yet. A few are, and I do enjoy the improved definition of those, but in all honesty I'm perfectly happy with the non-HD channels too. I don't even pay for HD on Netflix - I just stick with the standard definition. It's enough for me. It'll be some time before we have any significant 4K content to enjoy, and a *long* time before it becomes the prevailing standard. That's when I'll probably end up with a 4K TV.

If you can see the difference between a 12k and 4k moving video at normal viewing distances, congratulations, you win the eye exam.

My bottle necks are that I am only willing to pay for a 20MB/s service and most servers throttle their download speed. My win 10 and the rest of the PC are fine with large amounts of data.

I'll get a bigger 4k TV when they are cheap like the 47" HD set I have now. I'm not in a hurry.

That is certainly a neat video!
Do you think the zooming is done optically or digitally? I'm guessing with all those pixels they may be doing it in post. Looks great however it was done!

ESO has some great 4k content, just takes a while to download. Here is a link to the main page. You have to dig for the 4k content.

I am only seeing it in 1080p? Never mind, I see what they were doing.
