I guess i am in the minority...I have all I want.
But a 24-105mm f4 WR would be nice for travel and poor weather :P
Ok, that was off topic my bad.
Before I bought a Leitax'd Zeiss 21mm, i wouldve plunked down good money on a DFA 20mm f4.

I wouldn't ever post mine, as you would never hear the end of it... literally.

Honestly we so dearly need DA15/f4's big brother that performs just as good with no HD coatings.
I like the DA15, but I would prefer an "easier" lens, the DA15 is often difficult to work with due to its extremely curved focus field.

I don't see anyone handing over $900 real monies for an f2 DFA 28mm.

f it was an updated AF re-make of the SMC-K 28mm f/2 "Hollywood" lens* the price could well be over that, but it would be worth it.

*which is basically a Zeiss 28mm Distagon in Pentax drag.
Considering the Zeiss is 1,200$ at B&H we can assume the Pentax drag would be at least as expensive ...

I'd Love to See a 24mm f2.8 Lens ich its really compact. This and the 77 are all it needs.

Pentax 24mm lenses have never been very compact because of the 9 lens elements. Olympus managed to make a smaller one by a centimeter:

No AF and a modern won't have a screw drive, so it'll be larger still.

You are right about Pentax 24's in the past but obviously this is not any fixed rule for the future. The M 20/4 was practically a pancake, so if it just takes F4 to make it small I would have no issue at all, to the contrary I'd be a very happy buyer. And the Pentax 28s are small enough to make me happy. It's just that I'm not a 28mm fan the same as I am not a 50mm fan. It's all just about (my) cerebral issues.

I would be very happy to see a new FDA 20mm f4 for around $400.00.

I would be happy to see a 8-600mm F1 lens for $100.

The Canon 20mm F2.8 prime started at 700 EUR way back in 2002. How much yen depreciation and general inflation in the last 15 years is worth anybody can speculate.

I expect the new DFA primes between $700-$1200 if their are not extremely fast lenses, which would make them way more expensive.

Good that peoples are finally putting price regarding their dream. As we can see now, most of them are not real.

To dissipate some illusions concerning the possible price of an HD Pentax-D FA 50mm f/1.4 DC WR, here below the street prices of the latest 24x36 f/1.4 standard lenses launched by various manufacturers:

- Samyang 50mm f/1.4 AS UMC: €400
- Samyang 50mm f/1.4 AF (Sony E): €600
- Sigma 50mm f/1.4 DG HSM Art: €750
- Zeiss Milvus 50mm f/1.4 ZE/ZF.2: €1,150
- Sony Zeiss Planar T* 50mm f/1.4 SSM ZA (Sony A): €1,350
- Nikon AF-S Nikkor 58mm f/1.4G: €1,800
- Sony Zeiss Planar T* FE 50mm f/1.4 ZA (Sony E): €1,800.

My personal guess for the Large Aperture Standard Single Focus lens on the D FA roadmap is: more than $/€1,000 if f/1.4, more than $/€1,500 if f/1.2.

I don't believe it to be f/1.2 though. Pentax need lenses that sell, not lenses that make people dream.
