New B&H catalog changes.

Most notable is there are only 12 lenses. Gone are the fa 77 and 50s among others. Also the k-s2 is gone.
This came in the mail yesterday.

The D-FA* 70-200mm is not listed either, but I'm sure its not discontinued. B&H just doesn't list them to save space. It cost money to print these and Pentax probably doesn't generate very much return on that expense.

I didn't say discontinued I must point out. However these omissions are strange to me.

a quick check of their online catalog shows 45 DSLR lenses in Pentax brand alone...

Yes it is. I was surprised to receive it since it would seem to be a poor use of resources in an age dominated by web searches. I guess they know what they are doing but print catalogs are quickly outdated.

They seem to automatically send a catalog to anyone who has purchased something recently from them. I guess they know what they are doing. Mine goes straight from my mailbox to the recycling bin, so I don't have any personal knowledge of what it contains.

Apparently, by your own words, they don't know what they are doing.

I received a copy too, which went to recycle bin unopened. This seems a waste to me. When I have purchased stuff from their website, wouldn't they think I will do the same next time?

As this is neither News nor Rumor from Pentax, thread moved to proper forum.

I always got the impression that the B&H catalog was not comprehensive, especially for smaller brands like Pentax. If I didn't know the interweb
existed, I might assume the FA77 was not available, at least not from B&H at the moment. A call to B&H would clear up the missing catalog
entry.
