Two Ottawa photographers comment on the industry

CBC/Radio Canada - our national broadcaster - ran this article today. It's not an in-depth piece, but paints a mixed picture.

One professional says the college programs are churning out too many graduates while everyone on the web claims they're photographers, ready for hire. On the other hand, says an Ottawa educator, skills are essential - technology alone can't fill the needs.

Here is a much better review and assessment of this fine camera:

Pentax KP Review

However, because I do not like small capacity/different than K3/K5 batteries, dislike small cameras - I have big hands, cannot tolerate small buffers - since owning the K5II, and want a true swivel LCD for vertical shots at high and low angles, this camera is not for everyone and not for me!

All I wanted for Christmas was for Ricoh-Pentax to put a K3II replacement on a road map, so I would know that I have a future mount for the overdue 11-18mm, expected in 2018...
What's this having to do with the thread itself ???

I think that "make me pretty" is on demand, therefore it will be critical fro pros to learn photoshop like a pro editors, or hire them. I see it on facebook all the time, people post absolutely unrealistic images of themselves, nothing like reality. Younger, slimmer, prettier Selfie era
