Why Ricoh only announced K1 update service in North America and Asia, but not in Euro

Ricoh announced a K1 updated service for old K1 user update their camera to K1 market II. But why this service in North America, Japan and China?
Ricoh want to give up theri users in European?

You'd have to ask Ricoh why. No-one here will know, we can only offer opinions.

I think it's pretty obvious that Ricoh doesn't want to give up its users in Europe, so I take your question as rhetorical (if somewhat provocative)...

If I were to speculate, I'd say that Ricoh's service facilities in European countries aren't geared up for the necessary work, or perhaps the volume of it.

Frankly, when you can part-exchange a used K-1 in excellent condition and pay £699 to get a brand new K-1II, does it really matter? I'd suggest not

We probably know more later; guarantee? firmwere updates for K1 vs K1II etc.
