How about a budget friendly 85mm f/1.8?

What are the chances of re-issuing some manual focus classics? Slim to none, I guess, but one can dream.

Are there any efforts to bring back the TAKUMAR lens body design and name but with AF, more Aperture blades and incl. Quickshift to real smooth manual focusing?

When will we see a successor to the K3 (real successor - not a minor-upgrade-"Mark III")?
When will we see a successor to the K1 (real successor - not a minor-upgrade-"Mark III")?
  1. with highly improved writing speed to SD-Card
  2. with an massive increased buffer for raws (at least 50 raws)
  3. with an improved sensor that offers more clarity and more dynamic range, even with a loss in resolution - to improve the already excellent results of the K1

What efforts are being made to get Zeiss, Voigtlander, and Sigma to offer their lenses in the K mount?
Will RICOH Imaging speed up lens introduction?
Will they "scrub" screwdrive lenses any time soon and reintroduce all the lenses with PLM and SDM(II)?

And why the h3ck, does the new SDM dont get its own name so it doesnt get confused with the old one and therefore stop people,
from beeing surprised by disappointing AF-performance on lenses like on the DA* 55 1.4??(which is tremendously slow BTW)

Do you plan to further develop Pentax k-mount APS-C system?
Are you going to release mirror-less camera in next two years?

Another question: FF f/2.8 lenses are too expensive for many of us and so we have zero interrest in FF at the moment.
Is there any plan to release (soon) "high quality" FF f/4 lenses in addition to the planned 70-200? 16-35mm, 24-70mm ?

Is there any chance that Ricoh/Pentax joins Leica, Panasonic and Sigma in the new L-mount for full frame mirrorless, instead of building yet another system?

Is Pentax considering, or even working on, any Full Frame cameras other than K-1?
{there was some discussion here about the possibility of a 24mp FF camera, for example}

I would extend this question to more pedestrian lenses, such as the 55-300mm f/4-5.8 lens currently available for APS-C.

Sure, but a FF version if this lens is already in the roadmap, as 70-300mm I guess.
By the way I look forward to the updated roadmap.

Part of my issue is not wanting every promised lens to be as perfect as the DFA* 50mm f/1.4.

Adam,

Ask how many people are dedicated to product development for the Pentax brand at Ricoh. I have a feeling it’s about 10 or less + lots of shared resources of Ricoh global (i.e. marketing, tech writers, packaging designers, etc). If the number is low then that will explain the super slow pace of product development.

1-What YEAR do they expect to release a K3 successor?
2-Any plans on prosumer (high IQ, but slower/smaller/slightly cheaper,WR), modern versions of lenses like the 15ltd? (If I can wait years for a K3iii, I can wait fractions of second to lessen the load in my wallet and bag)
3-Same question for FF
4-Is the DA* 11-18 still planned for 2019?

Any plans on expanding the GR line? I would love to buy a GR with 40mm/f2.8 (pancake style) (60mm equivalent to fullframe) on it!
