I remembered the survey last year. Is this gonna be a new one? I really think that the survey last year was enough unless, they assessed that they got lots of irrelevant data.

I would be surprised if they did. They didnt even want my input anymore..Got no response beside a short mail with "good job, continue with that" or something last 2-3 years..haha!

Ricoh may just be concentrating on their core/base market, e.g. Japan. Why bother with the whiny, pissing moaning Western market that just criticizes everything they do - good or bad.

This mirrors my own experience with Pentax*. I have difficulty in differentiating if Pentax PR and marketing dpt of late are being actively inept or just completely incompetent.

* I was never a brand ambassador for Pentax. I was dealing with Pentax before the merger with Hoya, I did correspond with their lens designers for a time.

I'm guessing there is a language barrier at work here. Like many other things, larger companies have far more resources for the same cost per camera sold.. And they didn't listen to me in the last survey where I indicated my need for a 20-35 type ƒ4 lens, so honestly, I'm not filling out another survey. If they want to know what I think, they can look it up.

No, it just means you're probably not first-generation Japanese.
But I think they'll still let you shoot Pentax cameras.
