Probably not. Clearing your browser cleared cached pages and images on your browser.
Edit: Assuming, however, that you don't have a caching DNS server on your local network.
In reviewing this thread it is apparent that the DNS lookup was falsified to point to the wrong host IP address, either by a direct exploit on the domain DNS server or by sleight of hand.

Apparently it was fixed at some point and cached entries were purged from the various ISPs or local DNS caches.
