Need guidance in responding to a possible troll or just venting

I left a comment thinking Lee might say something since he also doesn't like Sony. No luck, but then this guy commented.{Perhaps I'm just too naive about youtube/internet [like Jerry in R&M (I joke about Fuji GFX but it's not mean spirited)]}. This guy bashes PF and Canada, this is my online family and I have family in Toronto. Why do these people get snarky for no reason? Juneway jungle days ... I miss em sometimes.

Don't feed the trolls and don't bring the fight here.

Everyone is convinced of the superiority of their camera brand, but when we look at actual images it's not always like what people say. All this brand thing is utterly ridiculous. The best response is to ignore.

My advice would also be: ignore it. Choose the battles you want to fight. Don't let anyone drag you into one.

I offer a 3 step program to dealing with people you consider YouTube trolls:

1) Stop watching this persons videos.
2) Don't share links to their videos.
3) Go engage in an activity you find enjoyable.

Lee is not the problem, it was this one particular guy in the comments. I don't seek out videos to be trolled, in this case I was expecting a jovial conversation with Lee until this interloper had to make his presence felt.

ps: Saw your site nice pics.

Oh I see, thanks for clarifying.

YouTube comment sections on anything popular enough to draw thousands of views are bound to draw irritating people out to piss off everyone else. Block the annoying users so you never have to see their comments again and move on.

Me me me, I'd like to become one of those... where do I sign and what's involved.

It's just the job title, got a nice ring to it and would look good on any photogs CV.

You don't need to ask this hairy wild Highlander a question like that?

With our without an attached Claymore?

Wielding a Claymore these days to dispense perfunctory justice, just doesn't seem have the same thrill as it used to...

BTW here's my Claidheamh-ṃr, they average about 140 cm (55 in) in overall length, with a 33 cm (13 in) grip, 107 cm (42 in) blade, and a weight of approximately 5.5 lbs (2.5 kg).

when dealing with trolls

best advice don't

if you do engage, remember the legend of the Hydra of Lerna

Lernaean Hydra - Wikipedia

( the version where when a head was chopped off, one or more heads grew )
