According to this link, it seems that from next March Nikon will no longer supply parts, training and manuals to authorised independent repairers. Presumably that would mean that they will be no longer "authorised" - or at least the term will become meaningless. Seems that Nikon will still provide an in-house repair service at just two locations in the USA; It is not clear what will happen elsewhere in the world.

This goes in the face of the Right-to-Repair movement, a campagn to oblige manufacturers to sell spares to independent repairers an the public. Nikon are joining the likes of Apple in their policy.
