It’s interesting that in the 11-18 video review, Chris Niccolls isn’t happy with the resolution of the lens whereas if you look at the reviews here in the lens database, there’s nothing but praise for the across-the-field sharpness.

Maybe - just maybe - they have a sneaking suspicion about what is on the way and they have to position themselves accordingly.

Ah finally some money paid by RI to DPR for creating marketing content for Pentax. Pentax promotion on the basis of making good camera products is good for Pentax.

I don't think so. I think this is more like when it is a slow sports time of year and sports websites start releasing their "Top 100 female tennis players from Ukraine, all time!" lists.

When the K-new is released (which is still a bit off), I expect the typical Pentax treatment. Comments about lack of lenses, large size (compared to mirrorless options), and clunky video (compared to MILC options). Finishing with a silver award and "weak recommend" for those who are already invested in the Pentax system, don't care about the lack of lenses, and don't care that the video and frame rates aren't as good as mirrorless options.
