Unfortunately, I have to skip any question related to the K-new - they will have revealed what they wanted to already.

What are they planning with Pentax? Are they feeling they can continue with DSLRs on the long term, with the market declining and so on?
Is there any possibility to see an evolved DSLR, one that does not merely improves on its now classical form and features but adds something new? (perhaps a hybrid viewfinder, perhaps a hybrid camera - e.g. combining an optical viewfinder with AF on the main imaging sensor)
How about a new FF camera incorporating all the advances from the K-new? (with larger AF coverage, hopefully).

Now a more difficult subject, I'm not sure they'd want to answer this one...
The D FA 70-210. What are the exact differences from the Tamron? Is the glass the same, or updated? How about coatings?

And, of course, congratulations on the 100 years anniversary and keep up the good work!

About the RICOH Camera SDK (software development kit).

1. Please can you tell us what was the philosophy behind launching the RICOH Camera SDK, and how is it going until now.
2. Can we also expect support for other cameras than the flagships.
3. Are you also planning wireless (WiFi) for platforms other than iOS and Android. It would be great to have a wireless connection to a desktop or laptop with Windows without using an Android emulator.

Why do your release schedules keep slipping? Is it execution, or shifting strategy?

Does Pentax have any plans to make a more compact (smaller than the K-1) Full frame camera?

I'd like to know if we can expect modern versions of following lenses (or equivalents) one day (soon?):
- 200mm f4 Macro
- 300mm f2.8
- (500mm f4 or f4.5 - Sigma, I know)
- 600mm f4
- 250-600mm f5.6

All of them rarely available as second hand, but as time goes by, the condition of the available items seems to be worse and worse.
So a new edition would be more than welcome...

What do they desire to be the future market positioning for the Pentax brand?

Thanks Adam, for this opportunity.
I specifically would like to know (anything) about the next FF body (or bodies?) and the likely available dates...
Thank you!

One important question for Ricoh Imaging comes to mind:
How much pixie dust remains in the barrel for the future production of Pentax lenses?

Pentax 67:

Does Ricoh consider, with the rising interest in film in the recent years, to build a Pentax 67 II again?

Does Ricoh consider a digital 6x7 SLR, with the original mount?

Regardless of price, which would be huge in both cases, I'd like to know if there is a general interest in going 6x7 again.

If questions are too specific or confrontational, or possibly exposing too much of their strategy they don't want to share, we will certainly get answers that are short, vague and evasive, as has been the case in previous interviews. So perhaps it is better to ask more general (polite) questions about matters we know little about but still interesting. This ensures a positive atmosphere during the interview, and perhaps they are willing to tell us a bit more as a result.
+1

Questions:
  1. Has the request for a wide angle FF prime (<= 24 mm) reached them? maybe even a non F1.4/F1.8 version but F2.8 and compact?
  2. Do they have any intentions of doing more "limited" lenses in the next two years?
  3. Is an automated lens focus tuning some feature they would consider putting into camera firmware to help the users?

Any realistic plans for a WR version of any of the DA limiteds? Or is the 20-40 it?

Also, an insight into updates of lenses like the 50-135 with faster focusing motors to (presumably) match the capabilities of the K-new?

(Or now that I've read the thread, what sungibr and The Squirrel Mafia already said.)

Is there a strategy for developing an ML FF system with Pentax touch? Will they only continue with the traditional DSLRs even if that means staying behind the other manufacturers of modern ILCs?

Thanks for the opportunity to ask Ricoh / Pentax management about future directions.

Given all the ways Pentax has leveraged IBIS into a variety of features I have an idea for a great feature.

Have a mode where Composition Adjustment moves the sensor all the way to the Upper Left, Upper Right, Lower Left and Lower Right. Then it composites them all in the camera.

I think this would be an impressive feature and it should be easy to implement in firmware.

Also for lenses I think a consumer grade zoom that goes to 600mm would be something marketable. Updates of the macro lenses with modern AF motors might also be good, particularly for the 100mm.
