Even film photographers have to bunker down with the rest of us, so I’d blame the fake beer virus and film purchasing being knocked on the head.

Good for them! I'm sure they'll be back. Love their film and my freezer has A FEW rolls in it right now.

Not a real surprise. All of the local camera stores here in Vancouver have also shutdown, so you can't buy any cameras or film period.

Exception is the photo lab where I get my film developed, they are on reduced hours and by appointment only. I can still buy film from they and get it developed/scanned as well. (E6/B&W/C41)

They have a film drop off bin attached to the outside of the store. You just fill out your order on the special envelopes they supply and they'll call you when you can pick it up.

No cash transaction, debit or credit cards only. This photo lab is a great place and I don't know what I'd do with out them.

Phil.

Thanks for the link Steve. It sounds like they have a good plan in place and being very rational and pragmatic.

I hear this coronavirus is really a protein that only exits as long as a layer of fat around it hasn't dissolved away. And it melts at 77F/25C. So warm climates should be doing a lot better. Can anyone living in a warm place attest to that?

I heard they make excellent sun screen too. Johns Hopkins has a report on that.

That's pure bullshit. The temperature of the human body is around 37°C / 99°F.

The SARS-CoV-2 is destroyed after a 4 minute exposure at 63°C / 145°F.

After that, is it still good on toast?

As I was just starting to photograph with film, I was hoping for an April Fool's joke... but the news was posted to their site a day early. I've heard good things about HP5 and want to try it myself. Looks like I've got to get my hands on a few rolls sooner rather than later.
