I have a Samsung video camera that is the size of a SIGMA telephoto lens and provides high def video. I carry that in my camera kit case and when the need arises, I take perfectly clean video....I have never used my Pentax kits nor my Leica kits for video. In fact, i am glad that Leica has removed video from some of its cameras because it adds weight and unnecessary complications...cheers.

Is this new K-New thread? The other just got closed. Anyway, any word about the rear screen? Is it still fixed or properly made?

The question is malicious, so instead of giving a suitable response I'll just suggest you to open a "why I won't buy the K-new" thread.

Nah, not a malicious question but a real issue. Any camera without a usable articulated rear screen does not behave in extreme positions. Surely new prototypes have been made after the previous images were shared.

It's probably properly made as in "it will work fine and won't break with looking at it"
Honestly I don't think I would go back to a fixed-screen camera because, for *my* needs, going from fixed to cross-tilt has helped in a lot of shots. I also think that in this day and age a movable screen can be as much of an expected feature as any other, from a marketing point of view. But then again, I am emphatically not the intended audience for the K-new... I'm mostly into architecture, travel and landscape so AF and FPS aren't main draws.

It is, as long as you declare fixed screens "improper".

Your point would be more valid - not less - if you'd say "less convenient".

When your neck snaps it will not be merely inconvenient but a showstopper :/

^ I have no problem in seeing the mods closing a thread, the title of which is 'Pentax K-3 II on September 2020'

(The K-3 II was announced on the 23rd of April, 2015)

The title appears to be strange, owing to a missing word or two. On the other hand, I expect to still be using my K-3 II in September 2020, so maybe I'll post a picture from the camera if this thread is still active at that time.

But, the intent of the original post is obvious from its content.

Coming next is the thread "Pentax K-01 on September 2020"... and I might even do a "Pentax K10 on September 2020"

Maybe we should do a thread about that time of photos taken with cameras that are not the K-New...

Not a bad idea. One photo from each poster, covering Pentax cameras from the 1950s to the K-1 II. The "Not K-new Club".

That sounds like the viewpoint of a videographer.
Most {still} photographers prefect a tilty screen because it stays behind the camera in all positions.
I know I really like the one on my KP.
