A stop more noise reduction than a K-P. 10 FPS both in AF.s and with tracking turned on, with a 60 shot buffer that doesn't lock up the camera while it clears, and clears much faster than any current Pentax. I'd like the 60 shot buffer to clear in 1/4 the time my current 23 shot buffer does .15 EV DR, (OK I'd settle for 14), and 30 MP with a tilting back screen. AF points that go almost to the edge of the sensor and I think 30 MP would keep me from missing the resolution of my K-1 sensor.
I'd sell my K-1 and K-3 to get that camera if necessary. But we already know, it's not going to happen. I'm finding having two cameras problematic. I really like shake reduction, pixel shift (which I use extensively this time of year) Astor-tracer (which I might never use but it makes me feel good to carry it around) , a tilting back screen and a slightly smaller height to fit my favourite pelican case, which hasn't been used since my K-5.
Thinking for the future 8k 7680x 4320 would be nice getting ready for 8k TV, though I don't know that will ever be done in an APS_c sensor.
You have to think "what's next?"
I'm pretty happy with what I have, I can't imagine paying big bucks for less than big improvements. But I'm thinking if they just replace all the 6 year old parts with up to date components they should double the speed of everything easily. It's all relative. So, I'm expecting big things, but not big enough.
Someone said better than a D500, but in MP a K-P s already better than a D500 and no way I expect the D500's 4k video. So the big question to be answered is better how? The D500 has a tilting touch screen so it's already not better for that. SO that means next to nothing. It sounds good, but I have no idea what they are talking about.
It's an interesting question, and the next one "how many of those things are critical.' is more speculation than I care to undertake. This was hard enough.
