Truth. But the Astronomical Autumn is the 'official' Autumn... no?

In my line of work we have a 'Water Year' and defines an annual streamflow as between October 1st of one year and September 30th of the next.....
But I'd still call the regular year the offical year.... :P

It depends on which definition of "autumn" you use. The definition of "autumn" based on astronomy is between the autumn equinox and the winter solstice - the definition given above.
The definition which I use consists of the cool months in North America between the three hot months {"summer"} and the three cold months {"winter"} - September, October, November.
In fact, Pentax management knows what they are thinking, but we do not.
Yep, I was using the regular person's view... ending 30th Nov... Spring for us in the southern hemisphere Now I just need to quietly back out of the room....

we speculate about the possible improvement of the auto-focus system (based on a patent) here: Patents possibly linked to the APS-C flagship - Page 4 - PentaxForums.com

The SAFOX sensor should disappear and replaced by RGB sensor. It's my assumption, like for the focus joystick.

The regular person's view in Europe is that fall goes on until the 21st of December, so no panicking here... yet

Astronomical Autumn ends Dec 21st. Meteorological Autumn ends November 30th.
The K-New will come out after the first week of pumpkin-spice latte season, but before the first week of peppermint-cocoa season. That's "Fall" as I define it. I'm sure Ricoh/Pentax sees it my way.

All good. Conveniently still time to become a stocking stuffer. Just if Pentax wait till 21st Dec there may be trouble finding the extra $ should it be more than I'm budgeting for.

It's already October 1 and I believe that the production of the K-new has been affected by the COVID crisis. I would expect a delay in the actual delivery date. I can't blame them. Maybe that's why they're not saying when will be the actual launching date. We just have to wait.

An announcement by omission.

If 10 years here has taught me anything , it's that guessing what Pentax is up to is a futile and frustrating way to waste time.
+1000. Sometimes we get caught up in this forum as if it were reality. Regardless of what is said/posted/thought here, Pentax will quietly continue to do whatever it was they planned to do anyway. My memory is too poor to consider compiling a list of all the things people said Pentax would never do but happened anyway. But I suspect its a rather long list at this point.
As you say, they just keep doing what they do.
