Cameraville moves on

YouTube review channel "The Cameraville" will sadly stop operating as a Pentax review specific channel, sighting lack of funding. Li, the channels creator, made many high quality, honest and informative videos painting Pentax products in the warm raw light they deserve. His work in the realm of Pentax will be missed by me at least.

He has done this before. Apparently the traffic to his Pentax reviews did not generate adequate click through on his affiliate links. (Pentax does not fund vloggers or bloggers.)

Very much like I said in the Kenspo thread .... so what, people move on and Pentax will survive without them ( maybe )

Actually Kenspo is a decent photographer and I do sort of miss his posts/pics whereas if I never hear Cameraville say "guys" again it will be too soon.

This guy just wants to become more popular, hehe. Kind of egocentric . He was cooler when 'indie', then it became a bit 'I did this because of that, blah, blah, blah, now I am the only one doing such reviews online blah, blah, blah".

In saying that, being a gearhead myself, I'd keep watching him.

I appreciate some of his works - basically sensor reviews - despite his tiring flooding expression, but I have to say he has too much relied on single sample lenses performances, drawing sometimes erroneous conclusions.

Kenspo... he left Pentax gracefully, didn't burn any bridge behind him and should not be compared to the Cameraville guy.
Also, Kenspo's enthusiasm is genuine. Perhaps we'll see that again after the new Pentax are here.
