Sensor for the new flagship?

Think this could be the new camera's sensor?

With which program would you open a single image?

That would be cool

3.2 giga-pixels? Sounds like someone is compensating for something.

Even if it did... people would complain it doesn't have a flippy screen

Before you got to that stage, which new processor would the camera use to process all that data and save something to what??

And you think your lens is to heavy. This will make the K New a bit front heavy don't you think?

Stuff the sensor. Too much data to store. I want the lens! I have visions of adapting it to a Q. Might need a stronger tripod though.

"the resolution is so high that you could see a golf ball from 15 miles away"

But why would I want to? I don't golf.

"charge-coupled devices (CCDs) that each measure 16 megapixels"

I would love to try a K-5II/IIs with a CCD sensor!

Canon is going to bring a 90MP FF to market. They still haven't figured out how to make a good 20MP sensor.

I bet you that thing has GPS.

Will is accept K-Mount lenses?

Meanwhile back at the ranch, Ricoh has not said a word about GPS Astrotracker on the K-new. Prepare to be disappointed.

The author of the article should have done her homework. The LSST is the Vera C. Rubin telescope; It was renamed months ago; I'm pretty certain the camera's sensors are made by Teledyne e2v in the UK; am not sure if Teledyne or Stanford did the assembly.
