Did you already mention that the next APS-C will be called K-3 Mark III?

Hi,

Did you already mention that the next APS-C will be called K-3 Mark III?

And that will support:
  • ISO1600000
  • 4K in 24/30/60p (I don't know if only in Interval Movie mode...)
  • 1/25000 electronic shutter time
  • Exposure compensation to +8 / -8
  • Focus modes from GR III like SNAP and INFINITY
  • DOF bracketing
  • Highlight emphasis metering mode
  • 2 cards slots

K-3 III doesn't sound that good; sounds like stuttering
What is focus mode from GR III?
DOF brackett?

1.6 million ISO! What sensor provides for this?
Do anyone need 16 stop exposure compensation?

Personally I have zero interest in any more discussion of it. Just release the damn thing Pentax before my wife decides what used to be my son's room now needs a total makeover and my camera slush fund goes to zero.

Where did this nugget come from? Once again, the K-New is a >>new<< form factor and historically new form factors have always been given new, unique(*)
names. So, no, the K-New will >>NOT<< be called the K3 Mark III. I'll bet a genuine K3 Mark III Waist Level Viewfinder on it.

* - Excepting the slightly altered reuse of MX and KX, (MX-1 and K-x). I cringe every time someone asks about the KX when they mean K-x. May Ricoh/Pentax
never choose that folly again.

All of those features, as well as the name, have been mentioned as part of people's wish lists, but a few are definite fantasy and one (Highlight saving metering) is already supported. I personally would like automated AF fine adjust (RE: Nikon), but who knows?

Given how utterly useless 819200 ISO is ,and that everyone realizes it, Pentax should just limit their cameras to 100k ISO and include a potato for those that want potato like image quality.

But of course! The meter supports 24 stops, so 16 EC should be no problem and Pentax could have bragging rights!

The source is inside a famous software and the least certain information is just the name.

Why the thread was moved in "Photographic industry and professionals" from "Rumors" ?

I'm interested to learn:

Name
Megapixel count
FPS in continuous shooting & buffer size
Number of focus points (including cross type and regular)
AF-C tracking improvements
WiFi/Bluetooth/App efficacy

I'm also curious for what Ricoh may have up their sleeve for new tech:
AA filter simulator
Astrotracer
PixelShift I & II & Dynamic
What's next?!

Do you have any experience with a K-1 or KP?
I don’t think even you yourself would view would take this view if you had.
