If Pentax wants to be the Japanese Leica of SLR's then a film body that can accept brand new glass makes some sense. I doubt we ever see it.
If someone still wants to shoot film, s/he has
lots of choices of bodies that were built with old lenses in mind.
It may ‘make sense’ to your mind, but I’m quite certain it does not make business sense to the minds of Ricoh.
They have trouble producing new modern digital cameras for the modern market - suppose the K-3iii had been delayed because just one worker had been devoted to film cameras.
