Obviously some interpretation - otherwise the article would be self-contradictory.
Even then, the CEO is quoted as saying that hobbyists want a 'direct view' of their subject, which is why the company won't do MILC,
but the "GR" - which is central to the article - gives that only if the user gets a GV-1 for an extra $200 or so,

This is their best recent answer to the "MILC question".

It's a campaign between the two companies in Japan, this is linked from the petapixel translation ?Feel the Moment?RICOH GR ? ??????????????????? | Alfa Romeo????? ????
The original site seems official, not a fan site, but I didn't look in detail.

Otherwise it seems indeed odd that such a detailed interview is with a seemingly small collaboration. Then again, maybe they want to escape photo gear tech news cycle and be more about the lifestyle. And there are a few quotes to support this, like talking about photography being fun and vinyls.

Yeah...I misjudged. Fan sites don't include current product prices and marketing!

Actually, i don't support Alpha Romeo's "authenticity parallel" with Pentax.
Historically, the electric vehicule was invented way before the combustion engine vehicule
And it has always been more environentally friendly than it's competitor

OTOH, Tesla is a shoddy built ergonomics nightmare.
It has to be a mirrorless. Particularly since it has an useless "Ludicrous mode" and a cutting edge fart sounds generator...

It Is somehow off topic, but there is one thing to understand regarding Tesla's apparent excesses : they are made to establish the superior performance of electric vehicule against the fuelled ones.
And also for fun.

I know you’re being humorous, but to continue the comparison, the viewfinder/rangefinder camera came before the SLR, too.

And it’s “Alfa” Romeo – clearly not for Alpha Males.

I really don’t think Elon gives a fart can. Without Tesla we would still be the sheep following that can’t be done trend, I think the front and rear motor concept Toyota used on the prototype cars worked well......but this is Pentax not Auto Technology.......

The comments, and the article, completely fail to understand all key issues. Thinking the word "sharp" as well as the anti zoom GR comments were about IQ. Again people who dont understand GR are also unable to understand Pentax.

Its surprising actually that the ceo, not being born and bred cameraguy, understands cameras so well.

Which is why this discussion is ridiculous and irrelevant, focusing on Tesla, while ignoring all the electric Toyota ‘Prius’, Nissan ‘Leaf’ and Chevrolet ‘Volt’ cars actually on the road.
