When I got the D FA* 50/1.4 I compared it directly to the FA 50/1.4.
I recall the FA lens has to be stopped down to F8 before it gets good. The D FA* lens was really good at f1.4 and excellent by f2.

Aperture is f/2.4, price is ~80% of the 16-50 PLM (so it would turn out to be ~1230€ in Europe).

I think the preferred method is to set up a relationship between two new lenses because the price doesn't translate currency wise.

Multiply the dfa21/da1650 ratio in yen with the price of the da1650 in your market and currency.

House, how expensive do you think the new lens will be based on your calculations?

Is that including tax? Seriously, everyone gets ~1200-1300€ quotes but us poor Europe folks?

Add 11% for our various sales taxes. It totals out to Can$1942.49 taxes in. I suspect for me it would be a very expensive paperweight.
