Not very credible especially since Ricoh recently said other projects like the film camera and likely FF update have priority over medium format.

I'll move this over to the Photo Industry and Professionals section as it is more wishful thinking not based on any credible sources.

Finally got around to watching this video. It's clear to me that it's based on the previously, recently available interview material presented here but in Japanese. I think we continue to have translation problems; for instance, the video says the the FA lenses would not be compatible with a new camera, when the question being considered by Pentax is whether they will be suitable for either a FF 645 camera or much higher MP one in crop frame (the answer to the latter seems to be they'll be mostly fine, as Fuji 100MP camera owners are adapting some of these lenses to good effect), & etc.

Just underscores once again how hard it is to read the tea leaves coming out of Ricoh/Pentax, due to specifics of Japanese language (a lot of meaning is apparently contextual and/or inferred), Japanese culture, Japanese business culture, Ricoh/Pentax business culture, a Japan-o-centric view towards marketing.

Until a more internationalist viewpoint becomes prevalent at Ricoh/Pentax imaging---unlikely right now in my view for a boutique company---we'll continue to parse the pronouncements from Ricoh/Pentax as though we were archaeologists reading incomplete/damaged inscriptions of lost languages. It's not that the inscriptions aren't real, they are. We just don't have the whole thing.
