They're all K-01s in different colors. The yellow one is especially ugly.

I for one, don't think it's actually that bad of looking... especially with that new 40mm lens.

The shutter dial looks like it's mounted on a steam pipe. It's a brick. But not a copy-cat brick.
Why a 40mm standard lens? 28-30mm as a cheap alternative to the 31mm would really plug it.
It is different, though.
But we still do not know how we can see the picture before pressing the shutter! Still in limbo. Release us speedily

Because they already had a tiny, low-cost design to work from.

makes sense indeed, but suggests the've been caught out, or have too few designers. Then again, the rehiring of designers was such good news (thank you Ricoh) that I can live with that (Hoya sins)

Looks like a GXR with a K mount and a modified flash that is now centered

I like the design, unusual for sure, but hey, at least it's not another retro one.
there is a dedicted video button, and accorded to Xytek, there is a GPS module in it.

But no viewfinder & no swivel screen = it's not for me.

I think it looks like a camera, albeit one without delicate technical details. Like it'd be easy to use wearing gloves.

I mean - video play? I can't play video back on my k-x. Unless that's what it does on the k-5 too?

It has the button that has the symbol for play, but not the text for it. I automatically assumed seeing "play" meant "play video".

Unless there is playback on my k-x and I am a stupid person for not finding the option >.>
