K-01 Leaked Photos

Obviously, this is going to be "leaked" at a much faster rate than expected.

HDR mode on that dial, nice.

Not smooth plastic texture, anyone have a k-5 can comment on texture? It's definitely not the same as my k-x :P

White/silver dials is an interesting look.

And good god, that 40mm...

Hm... anything wrong with the photos? Only that one pic of the lens is loading for me... both here and on that other forum.

Care to reupload to some other host/to the forum?

The upper plate looks simliar to K-5 finishing. That's all I can tell.

Shouldn't be plastic. It is an alloy body like the K-5. AKA a little tank! Yes there is a green button but also a red button. Custom modes? Or instant video recording so you don't have to toggle in a menu or a mode dial to quickly access it! Person that was posting the photos said that was all of the planned photos that he would be sharing today.

I comment on the finish because of the hope that it is weather resistant - seeing a finish similar to the k-5 gives extra hope towards that!

Weather resistant would be good. I would think it would be because that is kind of a key feature for Pentax. I think the HDR and red buttons are there in an effort to make this a super user friendly and portable option for not only taking photos but for video with killer lenses.

Looking at that 40mm, something juts out extra far in the back. Maybe that's why it won't be compatible on other k-mount cams?

However, some people are saying there is a picture of the 40mm XS on a k-5...
