Someone - not me - has mocked up the K-01 with some limited lenses - I think it looks great:

I think a lot of the problems people are having with the camera stem from the 40mm XS.

I think the K-01 with a handful of Limited primes would make a great, packable landscape kit. I use manual focus and Live View for this anyway.

Amen to this, except...I wish they'd gone with a tilt LCD. Lower, more stabilized tripod that I don't have to get on my belly for.

Nah... tilt LCD is for the real beginner camera... may have to lower the class/price of this camera.

I agree, but this thread and everything on this forum is only about looks because that is all we have. There are no photos and no one has used a working copy. The one person on film handling it was not bowled over by it. I don't see much point in anyone complaining about the opinions of people on its aesthetics. That is about all there is to talk about right now.

I actually like the way it looks. Just a pity it's crippled with no viewfinder.

If they had simply put a K-r inside that case, it would be a winner.

Surprisingly the K-01 looks better and better every time I see it. The designer could have gone nuts. He didn't. Nitpicking is ok but no matter what you think now, he didn't go overboard at all. No way.
