MF with K-01

Can someone explain how MF support is implemented on the K-01. What is focus peaking ? If simply zooming at 100% I fail to see how this will improve MF in bright sunlight. Is focus confirmation available (like on K10D and after), audible and visible ? Can you choose the focus point ?

Non of us know how Pentax will precisely implement Focus Peeking until we see it but it will take the form of electronically highlighting the portion of the image that is in precise focus. Specifically the piece of the image that has the sharpest edge contrast.

I sure hope so. What I don't want is to have to focus and re-compose, hence changing the distance to subject (the closer the worse).

I would think it's like the focus peaking they implemented on the Ricoh: you see a grey version of the image, and the countours are highlighted.

You will be able to select from 81 focus points or focus and recompose. You will have the options to auto-zoom or not auto-zoom to the focus point. With MF lenses on K-5 I've read here people say they set a focus point, zoom to 4x, focus and shoot. They claim manual focus is much sharper.
