On this cold and rainy morning I watched a YouTube trashing of the K-01, which I won't help with a link. This poor soul obviously is fearful of something as he rambles on with 4 letter words narrating the worst technical video ever featuring his beloved K7 as a real camera. His premise implies buying one will speed the destruction of Pentax/Ricoh, applehood and mother pie.
Could be any one of about a half dozen forum members here.

Are they selling that? It was Adam's PS job, not the real thing.
Sorry - the normal black version looks for all intents and purposes, all black. Glancing it by when I was in B&H, I didn't even notice the top was a different color.

Well the Black (whcih is actually Black with Silver accents) is a pretty camera.

Definitely in with the art and design crowd. For people that want stellar pictures without having to learn all about photography: Pentax K-01: The best (and coolest) camera I’ve ever used | The Fox Is Black

Honestly, I don’t know what I’d do without this camera. The quality is so high and the photos always come out looking great. It has a bit of a learning curve because of the lens, but it didn’t take long to learn how to shoot with it. All you need is a good eye for photography and the K-01 really does the rest. Our previous camera, the Canon G12, was around $500, while the Pentax K-01 runs for $900. If you’re thinking about buying a new camera I’d definitely urge you to save up a little more and get the K-01. It’s like the difference between buying a BMW and a Volkswagen. Both do the job, but the K-01 does it way better (and you look cooler).

There’s nothing unnecessary on the K-01, just the bare minimum.
