K-01s beginning to ship from the Philippines

A little bird told me that units are starting to ship this evening from Pentax's distribution center in Cebu City. I'd imagine US-based retailers will be getting them soon.

Oooohh that is good news. I talked to my store earlier and he said that up to today there where no delivery's arrived in Europe. I hope the first one goes to me

hopefully the shipping means in volume.---and not just 1 per dealer.......

But the start of sales will be on March, 29 in USA.
As for Europe - I think on late April.

All I can tell you is that I was advised the first individual orders were shipping tonight. This is direct from Pentax USA's orders department.

This is just one order, though. Can't say for sure what it means for bulk/commercial orders.

Available dates are all over the map, dependent on color and kit lenses included, raning from March 29th through April29th. Someone wrote that these available dates may be for NEW orders, and that pre-existing pre-ordfers may have different (earlier) ship dates.

Store in Southeast Missouri, USA got ours today. White/black one with 40mm. Yellow hasn't arrived yet. It is an interesting camera. Grip feels nice in hand. Screen is bright. LV autofocus seems much better than dslr in LV. Time to play.

Yep. And according to Amazon, a store in Kansas has one - but only one - of the black ones for sale and ready to ship to the first buyer right now. No other colors are available. Amazon itself doesn't have any, and the Kansas seller is asking $50 over MSRP plus shipping.

My local store chain, Creve Couer Camera, doesn't even have pre-order on their website and they've had Pentax bodies and lenses in their stores for forty years.
