Gentlemen and Ladies: Having no prior experience with digital video (my vidcam is digital tape), will you kindly recommend a SD card that is a good compromise between cost and spec.s for enthusiast amateur needs? My K-01 is inbound and it just occured to me the cards that work well for stills might not serve for video:
- I don't need broadcast quality
- I can't imagine more than a few minutes continuous shooting
- I have very little video PP experience and nothing but default video editing software
- I want the best final quality I am capable of producing without buying more card speed than I need (no need to be a fake stud), but I WILL practice and strive to improve over time
By reading I've guessed i should have SDHC, no less than 8Gb; 10Mbs minimum read/write speed; Class 6. Do I need UHS-1, SDXC or Class 10? Do I need even the prior standards? Is a bunch of fast 4Gb cards better than 1 32Gb?
I imagine I don't need Sandisk SDXC Professional, 64Mb, etc.
IOW, do I really NEED to buy a $125 card just to shoot personal events for my own use and blog posting?
Thank you in advance for your recommendations!!
