Thank you, JinDesu. Yes, focus peaking was very helpful, especially for wide aperture shots. Used with focus magnification it should make it much easier to achieve accurate focus with any fast manual lens.

A gloomy day with intermittent rain, I was dealing with strange color casts being thrown by a mix of neon & fluorescent lights, garish paint jobs and cold daylight poring through windows. Between the K-01's white balance decisions and a little help from Lightroom, I hope I managed all right. Here's a few randoms:
Great series, Mervis! Thanks for sharing.

A few photos from today. I used my new yellow Pentax K-01 and the Sigma 85/1.4 with HSM (works great on the K-01). Processed with ACR, post with Alien Skin Exposure. Enjoy.

Why are you treating that brick like a serious tool for making beautiful photographs? Haven't you read on the internet that it is an ugly toy, and you can't see the lcd screen in the daylight?
I haven't checked the EXIF, but judging by what I've read on the internet, these photos were either shot with a Fuji X-Pro1, an Olympus OM5, or a Nikon D800. It's the only possible explanation.

A little country road driving today... K-01 with the 31mm, no processing other than default LR raw conversion.

Thought I'd try my hand at some street shooting with the K-01 while I was in Portland last week. I don't really do much street shooting so I think they are kinda uninteresting
All are in camera jpegs using the monochrome setting. All were shot with the F 28/2.8

If there was only a human reflection in that window it'd be the perfect ghost shot.

nice!

Thanks to to rupert for kicking me in the seat to start this thread. I am so much enjoying seeing the artistry here, especially from mervis and krugorg, both of whom blow me away!

As a film shooter of loves medium format, I'm still getting used to this thing. I've bought Topaz Adjust, but I'm learning how to to use it to its best advantage. I've got a way to go yet. Also, I need more lenses for this beauty.

These have a fairly nice tonality, thanks for posting! I was meaning to try this function myself.

I was lucky to stumble on this junk... I probably should have dropped a GPS marker, so I could go back

A few more from the country road driving this weekend. The first two were just straight raw processing in LR and the last was done in Nik Silver Efex.
