Chocolate so early in the morning. Looks delicious. I could eat that plate, too.

More of a midnight snack/shoot! Not quite as delicious looking as Salagubang's subject but it was nice.

k-01 vs k30

when looking at the k30 favourite shots section , i ALWAYS get the feeling that k-01 shots are sharper with nicer colours .

Is this only me thinking this , how can this be , dont both cameras use the same sensor ?

Lolz - your images are great and I love them. I use my brick to please the womenfolks ha ha -- and to amuse the other photographers with my pseudo-point and shoot cam.

PPed for mood.

If you have a K-01, it might be placebo, aka wishful thinking.

Someone should try a body shootout (ie tripod, same lens, same settings on the camera, just swap the bodies)... I doubt we could tell the shots apart. I'm trying to convince a friend to get a K-30 (or K-50). If she does, maybe I can try a comparison...

Thanks! I like the background bokeh and I'm sure that the womenfolk appreciate your attentions!

Excellent idea regarding comparisons between bodies.

I have a K01 and K30 and will do such a comparison. Will take a few shots tomorrow and post in a new thread (if there isn't one already).

I might use my new (old) Meyer-Optik 300mm f4. I'm loving the old glass - big time.

Holy Shnikes that's a big lens!

I'm interested in the comparison as well.

Some favorites from the Chihuly exhibit (in Montréal)

Recently went to see the Chihuly Exhibit at Montréal's Musée des Beaux Arts. Here are some favorite shots from that.

The camera was indeed attached. The Meyer Optik 300mm copy I have has a M42 attachment, which I have the genuine adapter for.

As for 'like' I like both - BUT

If I'm shooting long or macro the camera of choice is K30 - viewfinder is invaluable not only to frame the picture but also to steady the shake.

If I'm shooting wide angle or video - K01 for sure.

I compared the K01 and K30 on the following thread

https://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/pentax-k-30/192015-post-your-k-30-photos-here-66.html

cheers

Mark
