How did you get so close to it with 50mm.... gud shot though... is it cropped??

No need the insect was about the size of a dog!... okay yes I cropped the hell out of the image

Really wish I had a macro lens...

On another note here are some photos from Koroly's Costume Drama where the 50mm proved to work just fine apart from me constantly bumping in to stuff when trying to frame things.

This was taken as part of my Single in September challenge with the FA43.
It taken after sunset, handheld with manual focus and peaking. F2.0 @ 1/13th second.

Very nice shot. It's very soft and it really makes a great image

10.000

My K-01 went yesterday true the 10.000 border on the shuttercount. I use the camera a lot. I take it for sports to take potraits with 31mm/85mm and also for streetphotography or just a walk. I use it for filming (my latest project, a mini documentary, in Dutch:
). I also have a customer for whom I make pictures for their new webshop (www.24jeanz.nl), for wich I mainly use the K-01. The fun part is that Marc Newson also made a clothingline for the Dutch brand G-Star G-Star RAW : G-Star RAW but not yet in their store, since it is an expensive clothingline.

So these are the rough images, where there is still some working on to do, but that isn't my job. Pictures taken in jpg, since the work has to be limited, and you don't see everything on the side when images are max 800 pixels wide. It is nice working, with one female and two male models yesterday, since there was more men's clothing to do. Shirts/blouses/jackets are going quit fast, but pants do take a lot of time changing them.

The studio isn't finished yet, it is in the back of the store, so we are still adjusting some things. It is small and the lights isn't optimal yet. The better the images are from the camera, the faster they can go to the webshop.

Fun to do, but also real working.

This assingment was a result from another project: On the road with 645D

I've been following your sports photography elsewhere on the site with enthusiasm, Ron, but I didn't know how many other irons you had in the fire. Truly terrific photographs! I shouldn't have been surprised.

Thanks, well I do spend a lot of time on photography and try to do about anything. Some sorts of pictures are more my thing then others, but I learn when I'm on the go..

I shot this back in March but never really did much with it. I ran across it today and decided to play around with it.

Another nice one Colton, especially in B&W... There's really a lot that could be commented on, very special... It makes me want to explore B&W with digital, too, which I have not done.

It's good to save things and look at them in a few months time. Since only the real good images stay beautifull when time goss bye. This is a nice one.

Thanks David!
I rarely do digital B&W as I much prefer B&W film (especially from my 6x7), but some shots just seem to call for B&W conversion. I'm slowly starting to feel like I'm able to get passable result from digital B&W.

Thanks Ron.
A bit of time definitely seems to separate out the good and bad shots
Oddly, I don't even remember noticing this one at first. I had 2 other shots from the outing that I really like and I just kinda missed this one.

Hockey: Den Bosch visiting Pinoké

I'm the whole weekend in Amsterdam, so I went searching for fieldhockey. My gamble was Amsterdam, but the girls where playing out this weekend. I walkt to Amstelveen and to my surprise Den Bosch was playing there as a visitor, wich is the club nearby (where I live) and last years champion Not to many sportsimages, since I only took K-01 and FA*85mm with me. Just some portraits, hanging out at the dugout and enjoying the game on a sunny sunday that ended in 3-6- for Den Bosch.

With some patience you can make nice images and for instance a corner is also possible.
