Beautiful shot. The rocks and the water really produce a great image.

Only had my K-01 since Wednesday, but these are my favourites so far

Tamron 70-300mm F4-5.6 LD Di

Taken with the Pentax 35mm F2.4

I don't think you need to spend a lot to get some decent images with this setup. The camera only cost me £275 as an Ex-Demo item from Pentax.

Thanks for posting - was quite interesting to view and I'm opening up to the idea of using the K-01 for video soon. I'd be interested to know how you approach doing video with the camera. Questions that come to mind are:

What lenses do you tend to use (and why).
What do you find to be the best way to keep focus on the subject areas?
Do you use separate microphone or the built in system.

I used for the boxing only FA31mm, but also use DA40mm, DA*55mm and FA*85mm. I only used on a few occasions the DA*300mm, but that is a painfull use, but gives good images. In moviemode you don't have distortioncorrection, so that is one thing to considder. I should have used DA*55 a little bit more on this boxing video for close-up, so that distortion was less.

I make short clips and don't use refocussing during filming. In the soccermovie I just made on a few occasions an AF-point and settled with it and accepted that it wasn't spot on.

I have a rode stereo videomic that is very good for recording the person infront of me, but lacking my voice a little. I also sometimes just use the internal mic, when sound isn't the biggest issue.

#RonHendriks1966 - Thanks for the info. I'm tempted to use some of my Pentax M lenses when I try out video.

#NickLarsson - Like that image.
